Kevin Costner’s Wife Finally Reveals Reason She Is Asking For So Much Money

Both the public and Kevin Costner were taken aback by the news of his divorce. Actor allegedly had no idea wife was intending to leave, according to acquaintances.

The divorce of Kevin Costner is growing contentious. Christine, his former wife, said that with Costner’s blessing, she was able to review the family’s financial records for the year 2022.

This was done to back up her request for $248,000 in child support from Costner.

Christine, with whom Costner shares custody of their three adolescent children, cited the couple’s 2022 profit and loss account to assert that the actor made $19,517,064 that year.

She continued by saying that the family’s costs for 2022 were $6,645,285 (without including taxes), and that the net income for the year was $7,595,520 (after taxes).

Christine went as far as to retain a CPA to conduct a forensic investigation into Costner’s “gross cash flow available for child support.” According to the CPA’s analysis, Costner brings in about $1,536,808 every month on average.

The certified public accountant also found that the current monthly guideline for a child support payment on that amount is around $152,681.

However, the CPA elaborated that this figure should be $248,000 every month to maintain the children’s accustomed standard of life, as shown in the spending account from the prior year.

“I realize that our lifestyle is extraordinary. I appreciate how very blessed we are to live this way. It’s important to not only to provide a warm and comfortable home for our children but to also teach them family values and gratitude,” Christine said in court documents. “I understand that guideline child support based on Kevin’s income in 2022 would be $152,681 per month. As set forth above, the amount needed to maintain the children’s current lifestyle is $332,264 per month, which is 60% of what our family spent.”

And it went on to say, “although it is less than the amount needed to maintain the children in their accustomed lifestyle, I am requesting that the Court order [Costner] pay me $248,000 per month in child support.”

Christine, who Costner said was staying in the family home, has said that she “cannot do so without support from Kevin.” Since our split, Kevin has continued to cover all of our bills,” she continued. “Kevin has continued to pay all of our expenses since separation. However, he has done a number of things to make it more difficult for me to pay for things, and there is no guarantee he will continue to pay these expenses going forward. Thus far, Kevin has not been willing to commit to paying an appropriate amount of child support.”

The accountant also found that they may have underestimated Costner’s revenue since they lacked complete information about all of his business ventures. Christine has “not yet provided with any tax returns, financial statements, or general ledgers for any of Kevin’s businesses nor have we been provided with statements for personal credit cards of the parties or with statements for credit cards paid by Kevin’s businesses.”

There will be a child support hearing next month.

The crisis appears to be escalating rapidly. Ideally, the situation will be resolved to everyone’s satisfaction as quickly as possible.
