Prayers are necessary. Mia Robertson will undergo her 14th surgical procedure…

Jase and Missy Robertson of Duck Dynasty hope their daughter Mia’s fourteenth surgery will be her last. After being admitted to the hospital earlier in July, the young adult is now recovering at home and leading an everyday life.

Mia had a cleft lip and palate, requiring thirteen surgeries to correct. Her family is open and honest about the long road they’ve traveled together to get to this point. She established the Mia Moo Fund to ensure that children everywhere have the opportunity to smile throughout their lives.

Mia’s mother, Missy, posted a message on Instagram a few days before her July 8th operation, titled “People ask me, ‘How many more operations does Mia have left?” – expressing her skepticism about how many more treatments they would need before they could finally call this journey over.

Mia took to Instagram to express a more upbeat attitude. She wrote that she had arrived at her destination after an arduous journey and hoped it would be the last time she had to visit her physician in their office.

Her mother reported significant progress in her daughter’s situation, which had become even more complicated since Mia turned 18 and was in charge of all conversations and medical forms. Missy learned from this experience that she cannot rely solely on herself and must rely on God for assistance.

She expressed her gratitude for learning from this journey despite its difficulties, knowing there is always an answer from the Lord if one seeks it.

The affable host of the Unashamed podcast, Jase Robertson, recently discussed his daughter Mia’s recovery from a medical procedure. On July 9th, he joyfully announced that she had completed her surgery and was resting comfortably at home, pleading with listeners to keep her and the rest of their family in their prayers. He ended his announcement with the proud statement that Mia had triumphed in “every way.”

Meanwhile, Missy Robertson informed her Instagram followers earlier this year of another significant development in their family life: accepting guardianship of an infant whose biological mother was deemed unfit to care for their baby.

They were still providing day-to-day nurturing and support for this baby, who had been welcomed into the loving embrace of the Robertson household on June 25th. Missy stated at the time that they would be caring for this new addition for an extended period.
