When Linda married Jack at 53, she knew she’d be joining a blended family, but didn’t expect the challenges his grown children would bring. They hid their disapproval from Jack but made it clear to Linda. She kept quiet to avoid conflict.
After their wedding, the couple went to the Bahamas for a romantic honeymoon, only for Jack’s three adult children to show up unannounced. “Daddy, we missed you!” they said, then sneered at Linda, mocking her for thinking she could replace them.
As Jack went to get drinks, his children insulted Linda, calling her too old for a fairytale and offering to take their villa. Before Linda could respond, Jack returned, shocked and angry. “This is how you treat my wife?” he asked.
