The Incredible True Story Of Tru Beare, Born Weighing Just 1 Pound
All newborn newborns are a precious gift from God that renews our hope in the goodness of the world.
The announcement of a woman’s pregnancy is usually cause for joy, as it allows the family to look forward with hope to the arrival of a new member and the child’s potential.
Naturally, almost every pregnancy has its share of difficulties.
Even with all the advances in medical technology, there are still risks involved with giving birth.
Little Tru Wende Beare has an incredible backstory. She was already fighting for her life when she was born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1 pound.
Eleven days after Tru’s birth, her mother finally got to hold her for the first time.
Tru got better with the help of the medical staff at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, Canada.
But she still had a long way to go in her struggle.
After Tru fell ill, she spent several weeks in an incubator to keep her alive.
On day 54, her father finally got to hold her, and he cherished every second of it.
Tru faced many challenges, but she began to make progress over time.

She moved from the incubator to the crib on day 71… She would let nothing stand in her way.
The 90th day marked the beginning of the end for this courageous little girl, as she was able to begin using low-flow oxygen.
After four difficult months, Tru was finally discharged from the hospital.
Two bouts with necrotizing enterocolitis, two blood clots, chronic lung disease, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), retinopathy, two blood infections (including sepsis), a congenital heart problem, and seven blood transfusions all contributed to her lengthy hospital stay.
Although Tru did not have an easy childhood, her narrative is incredibly moving nonetheless.
People were eager to fight for Tru, and now she is a healthy toddler and big sister.
Look at those adorable, rosy cheeks, wide grin, and sparkling eyes….
Thankfully, it appears that everything went smoothly, and Tru is currently gradually expanding.
