Steven Seagal is “overweight” and “not very nice to women,” according to Charlize Theron.
Charlize Theron recently called out famed actor Steven Seagal for being “overweight” and not as good at martial arts as he claims.
The actress, who has appeared in several action films including “Atomic Blonde,” “The Fate of the Furious,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” and the upcoming film “The Old Guard,” appeared for a virtual interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” where she didn’t hold back in criticizing the 68-year-old “Under Siege” actor.
“At night, I’ll go online to watch fighters or watch people fight, and you always come across that odd Seagal video of him ‘fighting’ in Japan, but he isn’t,” she explained to Yahoo Entertainment about her research for her roles. “He’s just very overweight and pushes people. He’s obese and unable to fight… Look it up, it’s hilarious. He’s slapping them across the face. It’s a full setup.”
She justified her harsh words by mentioning that the actor was rumored to be challenging to work with, especially for women.
“I don’t mind talking s-t about him because he’s not very nice to women,” she told the host.
Seagal’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News.
Several women have accused Seagal of sexual assault and misconduct. Regina Simons, an extra in his 1994 film “On Deadly Ground,” accused him of raping her at a wrap party at his Beverly Hills home when she was 18 years old, according to TheWrap. At the time, Dutch former model Faviola Dadis claimed she reported the actor to the Los Angeles Police Department for groping her during an audition in 2002.
Portia de Rossi, who co-starred with Theron in “Arrested Development,” tweeted about her experience working with Seagal in 2017, writing: “My final audition for a Steven Segal movie took place in his office. He told me how important it was to have chemistry off-screen as he sat me down and unzipped his leather pants. I dashed out the door and dialed my agent’s number.” ‘Well, I wasn’t sure if he was your type,’ she said calmly.”
Several other women have leveled similar charges against the actor.
