The actress was recently laid to rest by her family in a ceremony held on Mother’s Day, nine months after her untimely loss.

According to E! News, the actress from Six Days, Seven Nights was cremated a week after she passed away. Still, the family reportedly decided to wait until Mother’s Day to enter the remains in Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

According to a representative, “Anne was given her final resting place Sunday afternoon,” which was confirmed to Us Magazine on Monday. She had an intense love for everyone, and her children, her legacy, are grateful to be able to celebrate Mother’s Day in her honor. They thank everyone for their love and support during this trying time.

Atlas and Homer, Heche’s two boys, are still alive.

According to TMZ, Heche has been buried in a crypt at the “Garden of Legends” directly next to Mickey Rooney’s final resting place and across from Chris Cornell and Johnny Ramone. It is said that her location offers a “beautiful view of the lake.”

Heche struck a house in the Mar Vista section of Los Angeles last summer while driving her Mini Cooper. According to the Washington Post, it took 59 firefighters more than an hour to put out the fire after the car caught fire.

According to TMZ, the actress was ultimately determined to have been under the influence of cocaine at the time of the collision but not alcohol.

The actress was in a coma and had sustained terrible burns and injuries. One of Heche’s attorneys, Michael McConnell, told Reuters that the actress was “in extremely critical condition” and had “significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention.”

On August 11, Heche was deemed legally dead under California state law after being considered brain dead. On August 14, her life support was turned off.

According to CNN, her son Homer wrote in a statement, “My brother Atlas and I lost our Mom.” “I am left with a deep, unutterable grief after six days of unimaginable emotional ups and downs. I hope my mum is no longer in pain and starting to experience what I like to think of as her eternal freedom. I love you, Mom, rest in peace.”

Heche originally rose to stardom in the soap opera Another World, for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award. Heche was born in 1969.

She appeared as Marion Crane in Hollywood movies such as Donnie Brasco, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Volcano, and the remake of Psycho.

She was nominated for a Tony Award and an Emmy for her work in the Broadway play Twentieth Century and the TV movie Gracie’s Choice.
