Man Gives His Paralyzed Husky Pool Therapy To Help Relieve The Pain, And Help Him Walk
We’ve all heard a dog horror story or two of owners who let their pets down when they needed them the most, and the conclusion is always heartbreaking, whether it’s due to significant neglect or abandonment.
With tales like these in the news all the time, it’s easy to overlook the millions of wonderful dog owners who lavish their pets with love and attention. So, while we can’t guarantee your eyes won’t become wet while reading Kane’s narrative, we can promise it will be in a good manner.
The owners had no idea what to do when Kane’s legs suddenly quit functioning.
The bond between a dog and his owner is extremely strong, so when Siberian husky Kane experienced age-related discomfort and paralysis in his two hind legs, his owner refused to put him down. Despite the fact that he was too old to withstand the stress of an operation and that there was a good chance he would never be able to walk again, his owner did everything he could to make sure the old friend was comfortable.
They found water treatment after considerable study and a plethora of pain medications that didn’t work out as well as they had hoped.
With nothing to lose and Kane’s life on the line, his owner brought him to a nearby pool for an aided swim and immediately saw a difference.
With the aid of the weightless impact water has on the body, the dog who had been suffering from acute chronic pain was suddenly released from the agony, and after a few sessions in the pool, he miraculously regained his ability to walk!
Kane can be seen walking again in the heart-warming video posted on YouTube by Kane’s owner, which can be seen at the bottom of the page, with or without the assistance of canine mobility equipment.
Congratulations to Kane on his recovery, and kudos to his owner for not giving up on his closest buddy!
