Devastated Dog Lies By Gate And Refuses To Move After Owner Kicks Him Out For Being ‘NICE’

An owner wanted a ‘scary’ dog who would protect his house. But the pup they ended up bringing home was much more friendly than fearsome. He just wanted to say hello to everyone going by, and the owner decided the dog wasn’t right for him.

The poor pup didn’t understand why he was being kicked out.
One day, he was inside the home with the owner. The next day, he had been locked out and wasn’t being let back in.
Still, the dog waited and waited, hoping that the owner would let him back into the property.
But the owner had made his mind up. The dog wasn’t fearsome enough.

The owner left the home and came back. The dog got excited. He hoped that he would finally be allowed back inside.

But then the dog saw that the owner had brought back another dog. This dog looked much angrier.

Still, the dog waited outside the gate, hoping to be let back in.
Luckily, a rescuer in the local area heard about what was going on.

She showed up at the owner’s home. She tried to knock on the owner’s door, but he wouldn’t answer.
The person who had told the rescuer about the dog then provided the owner’s number.
After a quick call, the rescuer confirmed that the dog was indeed unwanted.
The rescuer looked at the dog. He was definitely friendly.
So she poured him some water. The dog drank.

When he was done, he sat by the gate to the home again, hoping to be let back in.
The rescuer was pleased to see that the dog didn’t seem too dehydrated.

She reasoned that the owner must have been giving him food and water still. But then a neighbor approached and explained that he and the other people in the community had been looking after the dog. He also said that the dog’s name was Leo.

The neighbor said one last goodbye to Leo.

He had enjoyed seeing the dog. But he knew that he would be well looked after from now on.Then the rescuers took Leo to the vet. Leo’s ears were injured. He also had fleas and ticks. Luckily, the vets were able to treat him.

The rescuer gave Leo a bath so that he would look as good as his personality was.
She was amazed to see how handsome he was with clean fur.

The next day, the rescuer took Leo on a long lakeside walk/jog. It was clear that the dog had never been so happy.

Leo’s story appeared on YouTube, where it soon went viral and gained over 2,300,000 views.
Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long for Leo to find a forever home.

Four days after the video appeared on YouTube, the Love Furry Friends channel posted an update. They said that Leo had found a family that would love him for who he is, even if he was kind!

The channel also posted some images of Leo with one of his new owners. He does seem happy!

Leo is such a sweetheart, and he deserves to have the best life. We’re so glad he’s found the right owners for him.
