Fans were sidetracked by a background detail in KAROLINE Leavitt’s adorable photos of her family visiting the White House.
On Tuesday, Leavitt, who works as the White House press secretary, was visited by her husband, Nicholas Riccio, who brought their eight-month-old son.
On Instagram, she shared photos from a family outing with the caption, “Visiting mama at work.”
In the pictures, Leavitt is seen smiling alongside her husband, who wore a navy striped suit, while she held baby Niko, dressed in the baby blue suit she had worn to Tuesday’s briefing.
In her Instagram Story, Leavitt also posted a photo of herself with her son behind a desk, writing, “My sweet sweet boy.” In the image, she is seen holding Niko, who sported a bowtie, in front of a mirror and a bulletin board.
Sharp-eyed fans quickly noticed what was displayed on the corkboard: two handwritten notes and two New York Post articles. One of the notes read, “You are brave and strong,” while another exclaimed, “Slay the briefing day away!” It appeared that both letters were written on White House stationery, though the author of the touching notes remains unknown.
Fans also pointed out another charming detail in the family photos: Niko was wearing only one sock in front of the White House.
“Precious! Put on a love sock,” one Instagram user commented. “He’s a doll.”
“The cutest! He’s really proud that he managed to take one sock off,” another remarked.
“It’s the one sock off, one sock on for me,” a third user added.
“What a cutie! He will be so proud of his mother as he grows up,” someone else noted.
This glimpse into Leavitt’s family comes just weeks after she shared wedding photos, offering an intimate look at her special day with Riccio, who is thirty-two years her senior.
Recently, Leavitt has become more open about her marriage to the real estate tycoon after initially keeping it private. In a recent podcast, she described their relationship as “atypical,” having been introduced by mutual friends.
They tied the knot in January 2025 after getting engaged in December 2023, and welcomed their son on July 10, 2024.
