This year, she marked her 42nd birthday with a small celebration at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, surrounded by loved ones amid their busy schedules.

Despite the setback, Kate remained supportive of William’s ambitions while privately coping with disappointment.

The following year, William surprised her with a proposal, presenting her with a ring that held deep sentimental value—it once belonged to Princess Diana, William’s late mother. The gesture reflected William’s desire to honor Diana’s memory and include her in their journey together.
