A  mother start screaming in the hospital when the doctor said “if you try to touch the baby, the baby will die.”

Most of the time, people are not prepared for their lives to come full circle. One woman who thought she would have a normal pregnancy started to panic when she realized what was happening to her baby.

The baby’s condition was so rare that her mother screamed and shouted in the hospital after realizing what exactly she was giving birth to.

The 34-year-old mother of newborn baby Jennie Riley was shocked when the doctor warned her that if she tried to touch her newborn’s skin, she could have died.

Jennie had been waiting to become a mother for many years. She had prayed for a baby, and finally, she gave birth to a daughter.

The newborn baby’s name Anna was born with an extremely rare genetic condition called harlequin ichthyosis which causes immediately after birth, and skin begins to rapidly solidify, causing it to turn white and crack into deep red cuts.

According to the British Association of Dermatologists, the condition occurs in one in 200,000 births and causes the skin to regenerate ten times faster than normal.

Jennie and her husband, James, were told their baby might not survive, but after one month, Anna recovered enough to go home and meet her older brother Andres.

Anna now requires four-hour baths daily, as well as routine lotion applications, to get rid of her extra skin.

Jenny believed her daughter was pure beauty, and they were proud to see their daughter’s strength.
