The wife stated that she found out her husband had paid more than $5,000 for gifts to his friends had colleagues for Christmas. And when she learned the price of her gift, she was unhappy and that created an argument between them.

35-year-old woman stated that with her 33-year-old husband, they had separate budgets for the holiday season gifts. She explained that they use their own money to spend on gifts. She stated they are married for a year, and together for three years.

Every year, her husband would create a list to the people he is going to buy a gift, and this year, OP accidentally saw the list of her husband, and learned the prices of the gifts.

Then she saw her name at the list, with a $20 kitchen spoon set. She was incredibly upset with the situation, and confronted with her husband over the price of her gift. Her husband stated, “A. It’s his money he’s the one paying so I should not control that. And B. His co workers/friends are important to him and he’s known them for ages. C. He said a gift should ne appreciated nomatter what it cost.”

OP stated that he was disrespecting her with his actions, in terms of gifts, as she had spent a lot for his gift. She stated that she is feeling unimportant for him. Her husband was upset, and stated that she is acting like a child, as he said, “ungrateful, spoiled brat.” The things got more heated, and they stopped talking now.
