Myrtle Beach restaurant in business for 45 years set to close, owners announce

A Myrtle Beach restaurant that has been in business for 45 years has announced it’s closing.
Nakato Japanese Restaurant posted a message on Facebook announcing the closure.
The owners said many customers have become our family and friends and included Nakato as a part of their family’s tradition.
They said there was a fire at the restaurant in 2019, and “we have been in heavy litigation with the insurance company, and we were unable to make up the loss that we have incurred to make it possible to re-open.”
The restaurant has been in business for 45 years.
The owners did invite customers to visit their Atlanta location “if you get a craving for Nakato’s authentic Japanese dishes and feel like taking a road trip.”
