Customers are furious over the KFC store sign on the restaurant’s doors, but the restaurant won’t remove it

Recently, law enforcement personnel have experienced difficulties, and things are just getting worse. Because some people think that all police are bad cops or in some other way corrupt, many police personnel have been singled out and mistreated.

However, one restaurant in Gallipolis, Ohio, decided to show its respect and admiration for the military personnel in order to make a difference. The window sign is a topic of much discussion!

“Every day, all police officers in uniform are provided with free meals.”

To sincerely thank the uniformed staff for their hard work each day and for putting their personal safety at danger to keep us all safe.

The best way to replenish yourself before, through, or after a long day is with a hearty hot meal. It might even help to make the streets safer, which is wonderful.

Everything spiraled out of control after the sign was nailed to the KFC window; it now has more than 5,000 Facebook shares and 10,000 likes.

Even the store’s staff joined in and posted comments on the Facebook page to clarify that all uniformed police officers are indeed given free service all day, every day.

You’d think that most people, especially police officers, would be thrilled and supportive, but there are still a lot of them that aren’t!

Some people voiced their displeasure with the store owners’ actions and urged that all first responders, not just the police, be involved. Even the law enforcement official in charge of Ohio Going Blue expressed his complete agreement.

He proclaimed:

“Although this message is excellent, some of you fail to grasp its significance.

I don’t expect or want anything for nothing, not even a discount, whether I’m in uniform or not, and I’m aware that other police officers feel the same way. We detest being given “Special Treatment”. The fact is that KFC respects law enforcement, which is why this was posted. I agree with those who also suggested honoring more first responders. How would I respond? ABSOLUTELY.”

Given that they risk their lives trying to keep us safe every day without receiving anything in return, providing police officers with a free dinner to keep them nourished for their long day seems acceptable.
