A cat that brings you money every day, does it seem weird to you? Cindy Charles has experienced it. Cindy had collected a cat from the shelter. It was a rather old cat and she chose it because she thought it would only be adopted as quickly as younger cats because of its age. She had let him be an indoor/outdoor cat since that was what the shelter had told her he was used to. The very next day, however, the cat began to come home with dollar bills! This went on for a while, until the day the police showed up at the door of Cindy’s house. Was it because of the cat? Anyway, why did the cat come home with money?

Having a cat at home was something very special for Cindy. Cindy set up the cat and showed him all the things she had bought just for him. She made sure he knew where the house was and also showed him the cat door she had installed. She was very happy with all this. But afterwards, her cat started coming home with dollar bills…

She felt like she had reached a certain stage in her life, that she was fulfilled, and it was a pleasant feeling. She had a stable job and finished paying for her house. Cindy’s last two relationships hadn’t gone well. After doing some research on pets to find out which ones would be the best companions for her, she decided she was going to go to the shelter and adopt a cat. The necklace, however, was not the strangest thing. Attached to the necklace was a small bag. Cindy took off the bag and put down the bowl with her food in front of Tabby, she felt that this is what the cat was waiting for. Cindy wondered again who had put the collar and the small pouch on her cat. She opened the little bag and discovered something even more surprising!

The pouch was filled with dollar bills! Cindy counted them for the first time, in shock, and then counted them again. Wasn’t she hallucinating? Had she counted well? Because all together, these notes represented a good amount of money. Why would someone tie a pouch to their cat’s neck and fill it with money? Cindy had far too many questions going through her head.
What was Cindy supposed to do now? Should she go to the police? She examined the sleeve, silver and necklace and found no indication of how the money got there. She knew she had to do something about that money, but she wasn’t sure what that something should be. Then she made a radical decision.

Cindy thought about calling the police, but she finally deduced that they weren’t going to be able to be of much help. It was money she had found. It wasn’t like she lost it or was stolen from her. So she put that idea aside. Instead, she called one of her friends. But what’s pretty remarkable is what she did after calling her friend…

Cindy’s friend finally asked her how she was able to afford this new outfit and how she would pay for dinner given her financial means. Cindy had several options for responding to her friend. Cindy told her friend that she had landed a new job with a much higher salary than the previous one. This was obviously not the case. In reality, Cindy worked at a local daycare. Later in the week, Cindy had a date, went out with a young man at the restaurant, and insisted on paying. Again, she had chosen a luxurious restaurant. Had her cat made that much money to change her lifestyle so drastically?
One day, Cindy received a rather unexpected letter in the mail. Usually, Cindy would immediately throw away letters from strangers, but this time something piqued her curiosity, and she opened the mail.

The letter was written entirely in Chinese! Cindy obviously went to have it translated and when she discovered translation, her chills turned into a feeling of unease and a knotted belly. What was going on? For a long time, Cindy felt lost.
Cindy went back and forth in her house thinking about all the options that could be available to her. Cindy had decided that she was going to shut up and say nothing at all. Then the doorbell rang, and Cindy practically went into cardiac arrest so much it made her panic…

Swearing that she would never let the cat out again, Cindy hurriedly put the letter away and went to open the door. When Cindy opened the door, the police were standing there in front of her. Did it have anything to do with the cat? Cindy was terrified that something terrible had happened. She could barely speak!

The police asked Cindy if they could enter. She had no choice but to let them pass. Cindy felt like something was going to go wrong. She was afraid that the police would be there because of the cat and the money. But, very quickly, she realized that the police knew nothing at all about the cat.
